New MESABI® System Protector™ Tube and Shell Cooler provides a dependable safeguard for systems under constant operation. • Protects transmission, brake and hydraulic systems from cross-contaminated fluids and the downtime and repairs that can follow • Alerts operator to any leaking • Has field-repairable features • Protects the environment Like all Mesabi Heat Exchangers, System Protector coolers have individual cooling tubes held in header plates with flexible rubber seals. Two seals at the end of each copper tube absorb thermal and mechanical stresses. A collection chamber between the seals in each header isolates dissimilar fluids passing through the heat exchanger, preventing cross-contamination. A site gauge or optional electronic sensor alerts operator to leaking fluid. System Protector coolers can be made in a variety of configurations of length and diameter for liquid and air heat exchange required by mobile and in-plant equipment.

L&M Radiator announces a new high efficiency charge air cooler that uses the unique design feature of all MESABI heat exchangers – individual cooling tubes held in headers with shock-absorbing rubber seals. The all aluminum cooler is comprised of a single row of multi-ported cooling tubes that provide maximum internal and external area for heat transfer. Damaged tubes can be replaced using a simple hand tool. The seal between tube and header is held captive in the header; once a tube is inserted, a seal is created to withstand and exceed charge air cooling pressures.
Because MESABI charge air coolers can be continually returned to 100% cooling capacity, they will outlast the equipment in which they are installed. MESABI coolers are easily cleaned with high pressure air or water. Coolers are for all charge air cooling and can be designed to meet engine manufacturer specifications.

L&M Radiator has changed the design of MESABI® flexible core radiators to gain increased cooling capacity within the space of previous designs. Additional benefits are reduced core weight and cost. The new M-Series is a result of the reconfiguration of individual copper cooling tubes and tube finning. Tubes with older F, H and L-Series designs will continue to be available.
In addition to standard M-Series radiators, L&M manufactures specialized V-Tube™ Series and BOSS Series radiators. V-Tube™ Series overcome external clogging. Tubes are arranged to create open passages; finning is V-shaped to resist material hang-up. Debris slides past tubes and through passages. BOSS Series radiators are designed for equipment operating in salt-corrosive environments. They feature brass finning brazed to brass tubes; no solder is used.
All MESABI® radiators feature individually replaceable cooling tubes and, if damaged, can be repaired on-site, often without removing the radiator from the equipment. |

New MESABI® BOSS™ Radiator is designed for equipment operating in salt-corrosive environments. Features include: • Brass finning brazed to individually replaceable brass tubes; no solder is used • Mild steel framework is coated for offshore service (stainless steel framework optional) • All the field-repairable features of standard MESABI® Core Radiators The BOSS™ Radiator uses standard MESABI® seals that are time and field proven to be highly resistant to cooling system additives. Seals are warranted against leaking for 48 months. The BOSS™ Radiator can be custom designed to customer specifications. DOWNLOAD HIGH RES PDF (5.2mb) |
